You need to leave here.\n\nYou slowly get out of the bed, disconnecting the wires.\n\nIt takes you a few tries to stand up:\n\nAt first your legs are too weak, and you fall down.\n\nOn the second try you become very dizzy, but manage to stay standing. \n\nYou can see the [[door]] on the other side.
"We're looking after you. You're very sick."\n\nThe man smiles, but nothing in his smile is warm or humerous.\n\n"Come along now, back to bed, there's nothing to be [[scared]] of."
"That isn't important right now. What you need is to get back into bed."\n\nHe starts leading you back across the room.\n\n"Please, just tell me, where I am and [[what]] this place is?"\n\nThe man sits you down and re-attaches the [[wires]]. \n\nIt doesn't hurt.
Some animal instinct takes over.\n\nYou duck under the man's arm, and run down the corridor.\n\nYou hear the man shouting, and people [[running]].\n\nAn alarm starts ringing, painfully loud.
You almost feel like you're flying.\n\nAt least you are [[free]].
You slam into the door and mercifully it opens. \n\nIn front of you are some grey brick stairs. \n\nOn the left hand side the stairs lead [[upwards]].\n\nOn the right hand side the stairs lead [[down]].
You slam the door behind you and [[race]] down the stairs.\n\nAs you look over the bannister you can see it is a long way down.
You wake up.\n\nYou are in a [[room]]. \n\nThe walls are painted white; the blinds that cover the singular window are also white.
You open the door to find it not empty at all.\n\nA man is bending over someone lying on the bed. The person appears to be asleep.\n\n"What? Who are you?" the man shouts. He pulls out a tube and presses a button on it.\n\nYou feel two impacts on your chest and stomach. The pain is immediate but already starts to dull.\n\n"We've had far too many attempted escapes already."\n\nYou hit the floor.\n\n"Some extra long [[sleep]] should calm those nerves"
You wake up.\n\nYou are in a [[room]]. \n\nThe walls are painted white; the blinds that cover the singular window are also white.
Above you, you can hear the people chasing you shouting. Mercifuly it sounds like some of them deiceded to go up the stairs instead of down.\n\n"There he is!" you hear one of them yell.\n\nYou continue to run down the stairs, ignoring the flashing lights coming from behind the other doors on each [[floor]].
You stumble over to the door and pull it open with great effort.\n\nIn front of you is a young man in a white coat. \n\n“What are you doing awake? Clearly your [[medication]] wasn’t set to the correct dosage.”\n\n"Where am I? [[What]] is this place?"
You gently pull at the needle in the back of your hand.\n\nThe sharp [[pain]] makes you recoil instantly.\n\n
"We're looking after you. You're very sick."\n\nThe man smiles, but nothing in his smile is warm or humerous.\n\n"Come along now, back to bed, there's nothing to be [[scared]] of."
Can you trust this man?\n\nYou slowly walk [[towards]] him.\n\n"There. That's better."\n\n
You are outside. \n\nYou have escaped. \n\nYou are [[free]].
Suddenly you realise you are at the edge of the roof. \n\n"Come here, now!" the [[doctor]] shouts at you.\n\nYou look down. The ground is a [[long way]] off.
You take a closer look at the machine.\n\nIt informs you that [[120/80]] and 82.
You reach the top of the stairs and find another door. You hit the large metal bar that stretches across it and shove it open.\n\nYou find yourself on the roof of the building. You can see many other buildings exactly like it surrounding you in all directions. \n\nThe air is cold up here, but the wind against your skin feels refreshing after so long inside.\n\nYou can hear shouts from the stairs and the sounds of [[people ]]running.
White Room
You get no reply.\n\nThe [[machine]] continues to beep at you.
The background noise you weren’t even aware was there, stops.\n\nA man walks quickly into your room.\n\n“What are you doing awake? Clearly your medication wasn’t set to the correct dosage.”\n\n“No wait, please, I don’t know where I am, please -”\n\nAs you beg he presses some buttons on the machine.\n\n“There you go, you should [[sleep]] now.”\n
As you question him he presses some buttons on the machine.\n\n“There you go, you should [[sleep]] now.”
At least you can now feel something, although the pain is already [[gone]].\n\nYou wrench the needle out. \n\nIt hurts for a second and then stops, as does the [[beeping]].
You find your voice caught in your throat, but eventually you manage to call out:\n\n"Hello, [[is anyone there?]]"\n\n"Hello, [[can anyone help me?]]"
You see some empty rooms off to your [[left]] and [[right]].\n\nAhead you can see a door with a green and white [[sign]] painted over it.
THE END
Can you trust this man?\n\nYou slowly walk [[towards]] him.\n\n"There. That's better."\n\n
He twists your arm and jabs a needle in at the elbow.\n\n"Don't try this shit again." he spits at you, as your vision starts to go black at the edges.\n\n"You always cause so much trouble. You should just [[sleep]] until we're done with you."
You hear shouting behind you, but you don't [[stop]].
What do these numbers mean?\n\nAre they supposed to be doing that?\n\nWhat does the beeping mean?\n\nAnd what is this thing in your [[arm]] that’s connected to it?
With a shove, five people all in the same uniform come through the door.\n\n"There you are!" shouts the doctor who was in your room.\n\nDistantly, you can still hear the alarm wailing.\n\n"Now, come back to your room and we can talk about this."\n\nHe offers out his [[hand]] to you, but you instinctively back [[away]].
You close the door and run up the stairs.\n\nAs you climb, you can feel the air get slightly colder. \n\nYou [[continue]] to sprint upwards, ignoring the pain in your chest and legs.\n\n
"We've had far too many escape attempts from you already!" the person shouts.\n\nYou feel a sharp pain in your arm as they drive the needle into your vein.\n\n"Now go the fuck back to [[sleep]]"
You must have been in some kind of deep sleep. \n\nYou cannot feel any pain. You cannot feel anything.\n\nA [[machine]] beeps in the corner.\n\nA [[groan]] manages to manifest itself.
"Don't you fucking dare!" bellows the doctor.\n\nYou close your eyes and [[step backwards]].
Mercifully, you reach the bottom of the stairs. By now your knees and chest are aching, and there is a pain in the side of your ribs. You can hardly breathe.\n\nIn front of you there's another door. It seems you have no choice but to go on into the [[unknown]].
A man walks quickly into your room.\n\n“What are you doing awake? Clearly your medication wasn’t set to the correct dosage.”\n\n“No wait, please, I don’t know where I am, please -”\n\nAs you beg he presses some buttons on the machine.\n\n“There you go, you should [[sleep]] now.”\n
Andy Leddington
"There you go. That's it."\n\nBefore you can react the man lunges out and grabs your wrist.\n\nYou try and [[break]] free but his grip is too strong.\n\n
You try to open one of the doors but find it locked.\n\nYou desperately kick it, but it doesn't budge.\n\nWith a heavy thud one of the people [[chasing]] you tackles you to the ground.
